Inventory Clerk - Level 4
Overview The Inventory Clerk Lead (Inventory Clerk – Level 4) will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of inventory control within the supply chain management department. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas. Position Summary: The Inventory Clerk Lead (Inventory Clerk – Level 4) will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of inventory control within the supply chain management department. This role involves coordinating with team members, managing stock levels, and ensuring accurate inventory records. The Inventory Clerk Lead will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of materials, managing staff schedules, and providing reports on inventory accuracy. Essential Duties: Engage in daily interactions with all clerks in the Dock and Spares Rooms. Adhere to production schedules and ensure timely material availability. Communicate effectively with co-workers regarding product status and locations. Coordinate with other departments as needed. Perform weekly inventory reconciliations of spare parts. Prepare reports on inventory balance, safety stock, demand rates, price lists, and shortages. Deliver detailed end-of-shift reports and provide insights on inventory accuracy. Schedule staffing for vacations, sick days, and manage resources during downtime. Assist maintenance techs, production, and TAs with material requisitions. Proactively manage inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts and clean-up activities. Work overtime and weekends as required by the Supervisor. Communicate effectively through meetings, phone, and email with other Leads. Manage and coordinate min/max for parts for production use. Ensure adherence to company rules and policies. Apply 6S/Lean principles in daily operations. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Education Basic/Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field Essential Qualifications 4 years’ experience in a fast-paced high-volume manufacturing environment. At least 2 years of leadership experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong communication and motivational skills to lead a high-performing team. Safety-conscious attitude and ability to make sound decisions in the absence of a supervisor. Ability to pass certification for forklift, electric pallet jack, and manual pallet jack.
