Inventory Analyst

PRIMARY FUNCTION
As part of the F&B Inventory Management team your daily deliverables you will be expected to:
Set objectives for your own work and support projects and programs.Role uses theoretical professional concepts and applies company-established practices and processes to deliver work under general direction.Effectively communicate with peers and partnersProvide guidance and training to others in the teamAt a business level you will be tasked on improving Demand forecasting and optimizing availability of an item at location level and understanding the impact on the supply chain. The priority shifts to ensuring the operational unit forecasts are aligned and in consensus with the Financial forecasts and plan and thereby driving efficient inventory positioning that maximizes profit and sales and utilizing replenishment systems to drive inventory placement strategies
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Forecast Accuracy: own, measure and improve the forecast accuracy of inventory for various categories of business. You will be responsible to create tools, processes and routines that will enable continuous improve of the key metrics (Forecast accuracy, Bias%). Promo Management: Partner with the BU and CFT to manage inventory through accurate promo forecasting and rectifying all relevant components to achieve department instock goals. Set promo levers in Replenishment systems, advise risk to AD OOS and communicate store level risk/overstock. Out Strategy Management: Perform End Of Season analysis, monitor and take actions to reduce lumpy inventory through markdowns, decoding, pushing and salvage. Allocation: Maintain instock goals through effective product distribution. Analyze sales history and trend to maximize sales potential by developing allocation strategies that maintain proper store inventory levels. Historical Analysis: Analyze and summarize business performance of product categories, monitor sales, inventory, margin and other factors impacting Instocks & profitability. Communication: Ensure timely and proactive communication with key stakeholders such as Planner, Inventory Analysts, Buyer, Sr.Inventory Managers and other key CFT partners at Target India and Minneapolis. Providing weekly business insights for stores and digital through reporting dashboards and weekly emails or metric review calls Lead and Execute pilots and transition for enterprise level inventory management priorities Invest in automation and process efficiency gainsJOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Graduate/PG with 4 to 5 years of relevant work experienceProblem solving skills and knowledge on forecastingGood data management and interpretationAbility to communicate clearly and effectivelyProficiency in excel and good knowledge of other MS Office toolsAssertiveness and strong initiativeAbility to work well with others and contribute to a positive environment.Highly motivated and committed to the development of high-quality workDESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
Retail industry knowledgeWorking knowledge of supply chainKnowledge on basic statistical concept desireable but not a derailerKnowledge of VBA; MS Access desireable but not a derailer
