Job DescriptionWhat you’re responsible for:
This position is primarily responsible for the financial management of inventory, monitoring inventory levels in the management system, standardizing nomenclature and developing appropriate work tools for the proper operation of the sites.
Collaborating with site managers, buyers, scale clerks, payables, etc. to resolve issues;Following up on contracts, commodity prices and accruals to identify and correct possible inventory errors;Validating inventory production and transfers between commodities;Performing on-site checks to ensure system and floor quantities match, identifying discrepancies and provide solutionsDeveloping and compiling inventory reports and managing the reconciliation process;Preparing cost of goods sold/gross margin report and inter-company transactions;QualificationsTo join our team:
You have a DEC or university degree in accounting, administration, or related fieldYou have 2+ years experience within an accounting related functionYou have knowledge of the Office suite with advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, macros, power query)You have knowledge of Power BI, Python and/or SQL (an asset)You have knowledge of inventory capture issues and APICS certification (an asset);You have a strong interest in data analysis and process automation;You have excellent analytical and problem solving skills;You are bilingual French and English.Additional Information
