**What you'll be doing**
As an Intranet Specialist, you will be a vital member of the Corporate Intranet team, responsible for updates and enhancements to CIBC Today, our corporate intranet site, and for sharing news through Workplace, our social intranet platform. You will be accountable for publishing pages, documents, and images to the CIBC intranet, which includes receiving, preparing, and reviewing content changes while applying established standards to all intranet materials. Additionally, you will assess requests for compliance and proactively identify potential compliance issues under the intranet governance model.
As an advanced user of SharePoint, you will bring experience in both SharePoint Classic and Modern environments, enabling you to leverage the full spectrum of SharePoint's features to support and enhance our world-class intranet. Proficiency in creating and managing SharePoint sites, lists, and libraries is essential, along with a commitment to staying updated on the latest SharePoint features and best practices. This knowledge will be crucial in providing valuable insights and support to optimize the intranet experience for all users.
Strong communication skills and relationship management abilities are essential for effectively collaborating with various stakeholders in this role. You will need to convey complex information clearly and foster positive working relationships across teams. Furthermore, you may review changes made by other Intranet Specialists for quality assurance and lead small projects, ensuring that all initiatives align with our intranet goals.
_At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._
**How you’ll succeed**
+ **Publish Content** : Work closely with other members of the Intranet team, business partners, and communication specialists to prepare and publish intranet content. Receive, analyze, and prepare content change requests for the CIBC Intranet, as well as migrate content between publishing systems. Build and edit web pages and upload documents for the CIBC Intranet using Microsoft SharePoint and other tools. Ensure that urgent news messages and escalations are managed in a timely manner.
+ **Production Graphics** : Create engaging graphics for the CIBC Intranet and ensuring that all brand standards are consistently met.
+ **Quality Assurance and Auditing** : Ensure design standards, editorial guidelines, and the translation policy are all applied to intranet content. Review your own work for quality assurance prior to business partner review or publishing content. Log changes in a change request tracking system to catalog content change requests for audit purposes.
