Your role

As an intern (all genders) in Global Strategic Sourcing Marketing & Sales, you will part of a dedicated, dynamic and very international team of sourcing managers and leaders passionate about their work. You will be fully integrated in our team and working both independently as well as under guidance on wide range of strategic procurement initiatives and day-today sourcing activities, and ultimately supporting commercial growth of Merck. This includes e.g. analyzing supply markets at the global scale, identifying new innovative suppliers, supporting the development of the global sourcing strategy, which shall eventually support our global stakeholders to generate incremental value. We will help you with being exposed to major strategic global projects, in return we hope that you would help us and the project teams to successfully deliver on those.  

Who you are: 

You are currently enrolled in a Master program in Business Administration, Marketing Management, Supply Chain Management or similar

You are a strong team player with a high level of drive

You got scientific background and a first experience in marketing is a plus

You are a passionate project manager with advanced analytical & a strong communicator

Excellent skills in MS Office (especially Power Point and Excel) & affinity for IT tools and first hands-on experience with AI

Quick apprehension, self-initiative and reliable working attitude paired with a creative, curious, goal oriented and open personality 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ideally German, any further European language is a plus

Strong team player with high level of energy 

Motivated self-starter taking with a desire to drive projects 

Ability to think analytically 

Structured and reliable working attitude, curiosity to learn new things
