Internship Citizen Development / Business Communications

At Arcadis, we are at the forefront of the low-code and no-code transformation, and we are looking for a talented and driven individual to join our Citizen Development team as a Communications Manager Intern. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a vibrant community of professionals and be a part of the team that is leading the charge in the democratization of technology.

Responsibilities

As the Citizen Development Communications Manager Intern, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Managing the content of weekly presentations, ensuring all necessary participants are involved, and using insights to fuel the operational strategy of the team. Scheduling meetings and organizing speakers and facilitators for the Digital Communities of Practices. Reviewing content and training materials, ensuring clear and consistent messaging that supports the Global Citizen Development strategy. Writing pieces for internal and external communications. Assisting with the logistics and organizational strategy of our Citizen Development Digital Communities, including coordinating with external facilitators, developing strategies, and communicating with participants. Spreading awareness of our initiatives through different communication channels and hosting virtual presentations and quizzes. Collecting and analyzing feedback from forms and surveys and transcribing it into tangible insights. Serving as a point of contact for inquiries to the Citizen Development team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in communication science, journalism, business administration, or a similar relevant discipline. A high interest in tech, digitalization, and the democratization of technology. An understanding of communications planning, including tailoring content for multiple audiences and the use of different channels to convey key messages. An understanding of how Citizen Development is changing businesses. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively to find the best solutions to complex problems. A positive attitude and excellent communication skills in English to effectively communicate with individuals from all over the world. A personal commitment to high-quality work and delivering exceptional results. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Experience with Power Platform is a plus. Experience with photoshop, graphic design programs, and the capability to design creative presentations, make short videos, and other creative outputs is a plus.

Duration

This internship is available starting August/September 2024, for a minimum duration of 5 months. It is also open to graduate students who need to write their thesis. Together with the Citizen Development Director, a topic will be selected.
