We are proud to partner with students and universities as an internship provider. We work with students and the universities to develop a tailored experience that fits both their educational and professional development needs.
We are currently accepting internship applications by students seeking experience as a part of their masters or bachelors programing for social work, nursing, art therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy, counseling, psychology, public health, and other social service disciplines.
Students have opportunities to observe and collaborate with several clinical teams including, but not limited to, trauma treatment program, substance use disorder treatment, outpatient mental health counseling, and health home. These opportunities are subject to change and partially based on the specific interests of the intern and supervisor availability. Internships are collaboratively designed focusing on activities centered on ethics codes, students’ interests, supervisor scope of practice, college/university program focus, and the students’ learning goals.
Interns:
Provides individual and group interventions
Assists in facilitating recovery orientated assessments and goal planning.
Uses related recovery tools to encourage engagement with strengths.
Has opportunities to attends weekly clinical staffing, consultation groups, and team meetings.
Participates in weekly formal supervision.
Maintains high recovery standards and is in good standing with their college/university programs at all times.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program focused on human services
Approval from their program to start internship experiences
Complete background checks, submission of COVID vaccination status and/or application for a reasonable accommodation request, have 2 step tuberculosis testing, and complete a standard set of trainings that will be provided by Centerstone.
