Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Professional learning experience that offers introduction of the retail power markets. Functions will be under Powerfolio Commodity Services.
The Intern will assist in providing analytical support to the Powerfolio group for Power related transactions. Will work closely with Customer portfolio managers, Sales, and structuring desks in executing complex commodity transactions, maintaining customer Powerfolio web sites in regard to data, risk valuation models, and working with customer care in the generation of the Monthly Results Reports. In addition, the Intern will assist the team with managing and tracking customer deal addenda, triggers and contracts and any changes made to these documents/contracts.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with processing, preparing and analyzing historical load data Power transactions. Learn and utilize statistical methods to draw conclusions from historical data. Assist with performing load data forecasts, trend analysis and other statistical estimates to prepare quantitative analysis for transactions. Work independently to successfully resolve on-going issues with other internal and external customers. Review and audit standard reports for all Powerfolio customers on a monthly basis. Assist with performing ad-hoc customization of the reports as requested by PowerFolio customer portfolio managers. Work with PowerFolio customer portfolio managers to create PowerPoint presentations for sale presentations and monthly/quarterly business reviews.Job Requirements
Candidate should be working on a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field, such as business, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, engineering, or similar at an accredited college or university. Candidate skill set and qualifications should cover the following topics: Must have at least 60 hours of undergraduate coursework completed by the start of the internship. Minimum GPA 3.3 Legally eligible to work in the United States now and in the future for any company Able to work autonomously Demonstrated understanding Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Knowledge of the energy industry, specifically the independent power or utility sector, is a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must Team player who enjoys diving into issues, brainstorming solutions, and learning new methods and tools to address problems High degree of enthusiasm and driveTotal Rewards
Competitive salaries and incentive pay range of $20.00 to $30.00/hour
