Technical Operations

Technical Operations is the maintenance, repair and overhaul division of United. The department includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

\tPerforms all aspects of aircraft maintenance work including but not limited to repair, adjustments, replacement and/or troubleshooting\tPerforms proper work documentation in accordance with company procedures and specifications and in compliance with FAA regulations\tWill be required to exercise Aircraft Release Authority\tDemonstrates initiative and leadership to other A&P Mechanics

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Required 

\tMust hold valid FAA A&P licenses, and valid in-country (ANAC) Aircraft Maintenance Certificate\tCompletion of local Mechanic Qualification Requirements \tMust be fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)\tCommunicates effectively with TOMC and other divisions and departments\tAble to process information and put together action plans to correct deficiencies\tAbility to complete all forms and reports required to the handle the aircraft maintenance activities\tMust have five (5) years’ experience on B767, B777 or similar type of aircraft\tMust hold a valid Passport and U.S. Visa\tMust be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorship\tMust possess a valid local driver’s license\tMust be flexible to work ANY shift that is assigned to you within a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation which can include late nights, early hours, weekends and holiday\tReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position\tSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
