Role Definition
As a Tax Manager – International Tax, you will play a critical role in ensuring Cat Financial and its Subsidiaries compliance with international tax laws and regulations, while also identifying opportunities for tax optimization. Your expertise and guidance will be crucial in minimizing tax liabilities and maximizing profits for our global organization.  To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of US international tax laws and regulations, Canadian tax laws, as well as experience managing cross-border tax compliance for a multinational company. Responsibilities
•    Ensure compliance with all international tax laws and regulations for Cat Financials’ global operations.
•    Stay updated on changes in international tax laws and regulations and advise the company on potential impacts.
•    Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of international tax matters.
•    Prepare and/or review complex international compliance computations for earnings and profits, Subpart F, GILTI, and U.S. International forms, including Form 5471 and 8858.
•    Prepare and/or review accurate and timely analysis and reporting for U.S. GAAP Accounting for Income Tax (ASC 740) related to federal tax provision estimates.
•    Manage Canadian tax issues relating to CFSC’s Canadian Subsidiaries, including preparation of the Canadian federal and provincial income tax returns, estimated tax payments and thin cap analysis.
•    Continuously evaluate and improve international tax processes and procedures.
•    Monitor and manage tax audits and disputes related to international tax matters.
•    Identify opportunities for tax optimization and work with cross-functional teams to implement strategies.
•    Provide guidance and support to business units on international tax matters.
•    Communicate complex tax concepts and strategies to non-experts within the organization.
•    Train and mentor junior tax team members on international tax laws and regulations.
•    Stay updated on industry best practices and trends related to international taxation.

What You Have:
•    Education/Experience: This position typically requires:  Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or Related Field; CPA or equivalent certification; Minimum of 7 years of experience in International Tax Compliance and Planning; Strong knowledge of U.S. International and Canada tax laws, regulations and reporting requirements; and, Experience with tax software and ERP systems.
•    Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts; corresponds with a global audience and avoids tax technical jargon when communicating with business partners.
•    Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches and tools for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to alternatives scenarios with understanding of stakeholder perspectives.
•    Tax Operations: Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and guidance; utilizes tools to identify and gather the information necessary for preparing tax analysis and explains rationale behind U.S. tax impacts.
•    Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete complex analysis and steward status updates with timeliness and precision.

•    Strong knowledge of M365 and familiarity with PowerBI

Summary Pay Range:

$116,532.00 - $216,384.00
