Internal Control Specialist (process and application controls) (F/M/X)

About the role

Our Internal Control  team, composed of 3 people, is integrated in the Internal Audit and Risk  Management department and focuses on identifying and assessing the risks existing in key transversal financial and extra financial related processes, and designing appropriate key controls to tackle those risks. As a Internal control specialist, you will collaborate with many stakeholders in different functions (Finance, HR, Procurement,  etc.) and the Digital Technology organization, and assist with further developing, maintaining and standardizing the internal control framework, both manual controls and IT automated controls (ITACs).  You will be accountable for:  Contributing to further development of the IS/ITACs framework, including segregation of duties, tailored to the process risks of the company, while helping to increase internal control efficiency and strength, in close cooperation with your counterpart in Digital technology. Supporting business control owners, in collaboration with DT experts, to identify and assess the key risks existing in their processes and applications, and to design appropriate  controls to tackle those risks. Contributing to assessing and documenting the effectiveness of the Internal Control framework by using various assessments in close collaboration with your counterparts in DT and business processes. Contributing to the administration of the Internal Control and ITGC (IT General Controls) database. Contributing to the definition and implementation of appropriate SOD. rules and ITACs in the frame of new ERP (SAP Hana) implementation project. We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.

 

About you

Relevant education degree or equivalent in Information technology, business, engineering. Relevant work experience in a business (preferably Finance) or Digital technology environment, including at least 2 years related to IS internal controls or IS audits. Competencies: Good understanding of SAP ERP environment. Affinity for data-driven processes and automation. Knowledge of google workspace, Microsoft suite and Aodocs is a plus Behaviors: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact at all levels of the organization in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism. Good analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information.

 

About the pay and benefits

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 46 720 euros to 58 400 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
