We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Internal Auditor within our Corporate Internal Audit team to help support our business. Our Internal Audit department plays a critical role in evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of our company’s governance, risk management, and internal control processes, and providing valuable insights that help drive operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and safeguard our global organization. This position reports directly to our Internal Audit Supervisor at our Corporate office in Carthage, MO.
As an Internal Auditor you will have the opportunity to analyze processes, perform audits, and identify areas for improvement across our global operations. So, what will you be doing as an Internal Auditor?
Perform financial, operational and integrated audits and internal control reviews Review the suitability of internal control design Conduct audit testing and identify reportable issues Determine compliance with policies and procedures Assist with audits of SOX 404 key control testing across the enterprise Draft and communicate audit findings to management
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance Strong written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills Strong critical thinker with analytical mindset Excellent organizational skills with focus on quality, detail, and accuracy Ability to adapt to change quickly, multi-task, and thrive in a team environment Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, and integrity Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20%
