What you’ll Do

As the Internal Staff Auditor you will be an integral part of the Internal Audit department in Asia Pacific. The role is primarily responsible for conducting and reporting on operational internal audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 compliance activities in accordance with established standards. The role will also assist in corporate investigations and ad hoc special projects.

While primarily based in Australia, the appointed person will be required to complete audit projects remotely or in person in other locations within Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America.

Participate in audit engagements (predominately in Australia and New Zealand however globally where need arises) on operational, strategic, projects, and financial processes and controls. Perform SOX control testing and assessments, collaborate with management to resolve SOX audit deficiencies, and provide support in the improvement of control processes. Perform periodic reviews to identify control weaknesses and gaps. Confirm deficiency and remediation efforts are appropriate and implemented in a timely manner. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance audit processes and outcomes; and support the delivery of other functions and services within the Internal Audit Department. Confirm a high level of quality with a focus on the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes. Develop professional competencies and personal network to get to know the full extent of the company and to prepare yourself for future career opportunities. Other duties and special projects as requested.

What Experience and Education You Need

Approximately 1 to 3 years of audit experience within Tier 1 and Tier 2 public accounting companies or 2+ years in Compliance or Process improvement fields. Ability to analyze complex processes and identify potential improvement opportunities. Self-starter who relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. An understanding of Internal Audit standards and techniques, knowledge of compliance and regulation. Studying towards relevant professional designations/certifications, such as ISACA / CPA / CIA / ISO certification, etc. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong skills in Word, Excel, Visio. Experience in ERP or complex systems. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to travel between 20%-30%, predominantly in Asia Pacific.
