Smith & Wesson is seeking a highly motivated Intern to join our Internal Audit team for Summer 2025! This internship opportunity will provide hands-on experience and exposure to various functions within our Internal Audit department. Location, Schedule, & Compensation: In-office/non-remote Maryville, TN 40 hours per week Monday-Friday Paid Education and Experience: * Junior or senior currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting or Finance. * Experience or interest in the manufacturing industry Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Understanding of the technical aspects of accounting and financial reporting. * Reviews financial transactions or reports for accuracy. * Review the work performed by internal audit personnel. * Participate in preparing the SOX Risk Assessment. * Ability to define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.
