Data Experience Team owns, and operates the data systems that collect, process, aggregate, and store Akamai's customer data for the purposes of log delivery, analytics, reporting, and visualization. DX systems currently receive over 7PB/day of data and process over 5 trillion records per day. Data engineering teams within DX have the responsibility to design, develop, and maintain Big Data applications.

As a participant in our program, you will gain valuable experience and contribute through meaningful project work. You will have the opportunity to join us for training, networking events, and engagements with company leadership. Our internships are open to students and graduates.

Be a part of our team

In this role, you'll work in a team responsible for various level of testing the Asgard Data Warehouse. You will test performance, reliability, scalability and functionality of product. You will also have a chance to work and test our new Akamai Connected Could platform.

As a Software Engineer in Test Intern, you will be responsible for:

Developing tools facilitating testing system (Python) Finding and reporting bugs Developing automated test-cases (Python) Maintaining the setup of daily regression (Jenkins)

Demonstrate programming skills in Python Be familiar with Linux-like operating systems and tools Understand basics of Kubernetes (k8s) Be familiar with REST API interfaces Demonstrate good written and verbal communications skills and fluent English

Work in a way that works for you

Our 6-month interm program starts in July. The program requires you to be available 40 hours per week during summer months (July-September). We offer the opportunity to work part-time during the academic year (October-December).
