Job Description:
As a Contract Renewals Intern, you will work closely with the Renewals and Customer Success teams, supporting all aspects of the contract renewal process for our medium business segment. Your role will focus on ensuring customer retention and helping meet or exceed renewal revenue targets. You'll assist in managing digital communications with customers and Sage Business Partners, while gaining exposure to cross-functional collaboration, customer engagement, and strategic account management.
What will the programme look like?
As a Contract Renewals Intern, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers during their contract renewal cycle. You will help ensure a smooth and professional renewal experience, working to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. You’ll support internal teams with data validation, system updates, and communications planning, while also identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities in partnership with business stakeholders. This role is designed to give you real-world experience in customer success, renewals strategy, and revenue growth..

This is a hybrid role – Three days per week in our Johannesburg office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure Business partner/ customer queries are responded to within the specified turnaround time via digital responses
• Deliver revenue performance and operational outcomes in line with budgetary expectations and performance KPI’s
• Build strong alliances with Business Partners to facilitate successful 90-day planning around linked renewals
• Establish strong collaboration with sales teams, providing regular insight on assigned customers and assisting to identify opportunities for incremental revenue
• Align, Influence, and manage across lines of business to drive business value and ensure prompt resolution of escalated issues
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and Business Partners to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
• Provide accurate and timely forecasting for monthly, quarterly, and annual performance, including risk and opportunity analysis
• Other duties as required from time to time (Customer nurture campaigns etc)
• Play an integral role in supporting the company’s cloud migration strategy
