Description:

The department of process development and technology (PD&T) has an 8–12-week project suited for a summer intern to aid in the formulation development of Grifols’s protein products. The intern will be trained how to formulate proteins in multiple buffers and execute experiments to characterize and to evaluate the stability of these proteins using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and fluorescence methods. The incumbent will learn how to interpret complex data and generate presentations in preparation for a presentation to management that summarizes the work at the conclusion of their internship.

 

Requirements:

Candidate must be currently enrolled in 4-year degree program pursuing bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering or related fields as rising junior or senior; can also be current Mater’s or PhD student. GPA at least 3.0 Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to perform literature search, read laboratory procedures, and document work in a laboratory notebook. Proficiency in laboratory skills including pipetting, use of balance, volumetric glassware, making solutions and laboratory safety awareness.
