About our team

We are looking for driven candidates seeking to start their career and join us as a paid Intern with the prospect of a permanent Analyst position available at the end of the internship. The candidate will enhance their statistical and health economics skills, support our consulting projects and undertake their dissertation (if applicable).

To be considered you should be currently studying for (or recently completed) a MSc in in a relevant field (discipline such as statistics, data science, health economics, biomedical sciences, economics, health policy).

You will work in a dynamic, global company of over 85,000 employees in more than 100 countries with a broad range of healthcare information, technology and service offerings. As part of our team (Methods & Evidence Generation), comprised of ~160 Health Economists, Epidemiologists, Biostatisticians and Statistical Programmers, you will develop your knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the generation of insights and solutions for our clients. Your work will impact decision-making in various health care systems on treatment innovations, care provision and access in EU, UK and beyond.

Our clients operate in the life sciences industry, including the global top 20 pharmaceutical, medical device and biotech companies, as well as public health providers and regulatory authorities. They are looking for insight and evidence around the safety, efficacy, effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of health care delivery systems, medical devices, and pharmaceutical products spanning the full spectrum of therapeutic and disease areas. Our diverse mix of clients, the breadth of disease areas, as well as increasing access to novel data sources and methodologies provide a constant and rewarding challenge for our people. 

About what you will do:

(for MSc students only) Be assigned a client-based dissertation project based, where possible, or a dissertation project.

(for MSc students only) This is a full-time position and your time will be split between the dissertation project (~50%) and supporting the team on other projects (~50%) thus providing you with an opportunity to gain experience in a range of offerings

Produce materials and services relating to the health economics related statistical analyses (e.g. survival analysis, meta-analysis, indirect treatment comparison, surrogate endpoint evaluation, structured expect elicitation) that generate value for clients

Have the opportunity to liaise with clients directly and develop client communication & presentation skills, as part of a project team

Contribute to internal initiatives for the advancement of innovative methodological approaches

Work closely with a diverse range of peers, project managers and subject matter experts across Europe

About you:

You must be studying for (or recently completed) a postgraduate degree in health economics, economics, statistics, biostatistics, pharmacy, mathematics, engineering or relevant

You have strong numeracy and quantitative skills as well as competency using R (other software like Stan, OpenBUGS are a plus).

Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English (working language is English)

You are a communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and clients and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms and in a structured way, both spoken and written

You are eligible to work in Greece full time without visa sponsorship

Must be available for 6 months (starting approximately from July, however, there is flexibility on the start date) which will be based in our Athens office (hybrid working model)

Accommodation or relocation fees will not be covered/included

Timeline:

Successful candidates will be invited to a pre-screening conversation with an IQVIA internal recruiter before the 28th of February.

Successful candidates by that stage will receive an exercise/assignment to work on for up to a week. This is part of the assessment. The assignment will be sent to candidates by the 3rd of March. The deadline for the candidate to deliver the assignment back to IQVIA will be the 10th of March.

The feedback on the assignment will be circulated to candidates by the 14th of March 2025

Candidates who successfully passed the exercise stage will be invited for a panel interview which will be either online or in the Athens office. We expect the interviews to take place on one of the following days:the 19th, 20th and 21st of March 2025
