Joining the geotechnical engineering team at Gannett Fleming means contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.
What You'll Be Working On
Support real client projects by assisting with geotechnical reports, designs, and analysis for structures such as dams, bridges, and buildings.Aid in field reconnaissance and observation of exploration borings on challenging terrains.Assist in planning subsurface exploration and laboratory testing.Contribute to the design and analysis of foundations for dams, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.Provide support for construction observation activities during project execution.Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related area, with a preferred focus on Geotechnical Engineering.Demonstrated interest in geotechnical engineering through prior internships or applied academic.Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Comfortable working in challenging environments including remote terrains.
Preferred Qualifications
