Forensic Lab Internship: The Ada County Forensic Lab Internship Program is designed to provide students and recent graduates a hands-on learning environment. This includes experience working under international accreditation guidelines to scientifically analyze items for forensic evidence. Analysis is supported by documentation and report writing. This internship helps develop the laboratory, management and communication skills needed to prepare students for a career in forensic science. Assignments can vary depending on the student’s interests and academic coursework. Essential Functions + Interns in this area may perform the following duties that include but are not limited to: + Assisting with collection, documentation and analysis of assigned materials + Assisting with quality assurance activities such as monthly control and instrumentation check testing and validating new methods. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: An unpaid internship with the Ada County Sheriff's Office allows students to get professional experience, typically while obtaining credit for school. Job Requirements Please note that you must be currently enrolled as a degree-seeking student at a college or university or have recently graduated in the last year to apply for any internship + Only those colleges/universities with regional accreditation will be accepted.
