Intern - Automation Electrical Engineering
What You Will Do:

Program Timeframe: Mid-May through mid-August

During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees. 

 

What You'll Be Working On

Conducting site surveys and collect field data to support automation design, including control panel details, wiring schematics, and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).Assisting in the development of automation architecture, PLC programming, and HMI applications, ensuring compliance with industrial communications and cybersecurity standards.Participate in client meetings and project discussions while supporting industrial fabrication, factory testing of control systems, and data center/server configuration.Education | Experience:Enrolled in an ABET-accredited bachelor's or graduate Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related program. A demonstrated interest in the automation industry.Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated and eager to learn.Strong verbal and oral communication skills.Physically able to perform work in the field, if applicable (OSHA training a plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in BIM, Civil 3D, or AutoCAD.A focus or coursework related to automation and controls.Prior engineering related internship or similar experience.Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.Involvement with professional associations, on-campus groups, and/or community service initiatives.Company Overview:

Employment Status: Hourly (30-40 hours per week)
