We are seeking a Working Student – Graphics / Visualization (f/m/d) to join our Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Visualization team.

Simcenter STAR-CCM+ simulation software is used by thousands of engineers around the world in multiple industries to simulate aerodynamics, heat transfer, reacting flows, particle dynamics, and solid stress. As the Visualization team, we provide groundbreaking technology allowing users to understand engineering simulation results conducted using Simcenter STAR-CCM+ through qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. These techniques include scientific visualization, computer graphics, and numerical analysis. As an intern, you will be contributing to projects in the field of Global Illumination, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Rasterized Rendering, and Web-based Applications to extend and improve Simcenter STAR-CCM+’s visualization and rendering capabilities. Key Responsibility:Support the development of advanced visualization features in Simcenter STAR-CCM+, focusing on Global Illumination, VR/AR, and Web-based renderingContribute to projects in scientific visualization, computer graphics, and UI developmentAssist with implementing and testing new rendering capabilities for improved simulation insightDocument progress and technical findings clearly and effectivelyQualifications:You are currently pursuing a degree in STEM, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with at least one year of studies remaining.Availability to work onsite in our office in Vienna up to one day a weekGood English skills, both written and spoken (German is a plus, but not required)Object oriented programming experience using C++Scientific Visualization or Computer Graphics related University-level course participationKnowledge of JavaScript, OpenGL, Vulkan, GLSL, or VTK is a plusYou are legally authorized and will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in AustriaWhat We Offer:A mentor who supports and supervises you both professionally and personallyVarious benefits, including corporate discounts and a canteen in the officeA global and dynamic working environmentFlexible working hours and hybrid options


We are legally required to state that the collective agreement minimum salary for this position is EUR 2,169 gross per month based on full-time employment (38.5 hours per week). Depending on experience and qualifications, we are willing to offer a higher salary. This position is calculated for a maximum of 20 hours per week.
