Who We Are Looking For

The Asset & Energy Management Intern will be part of the Clearway Asset and Energy Management Team. The Asset and Energy Management Team is responsible for the commercial management of 7.5 GW of utility-scale wind and solar power projects located across the United States.  Asset Management also serves as the owner’s representative ensuring that budget control, value optimization, and risk mitigation are performed during the entire operational lifecycle of a project. 

This position is part of the 10-week Summer Internship Program at Clearway Energy Group beginning in June 2025.

Throughout this summer internship program, you’ll get exposure to real projects and challenges while gaining first-hand professional experience. At Clearway, you’ll gain access to an innovative and fast-paced work environment. You’ll also participate in networking and learning events with your fellow intern cohort.

This position will be based in the Scottsdale office.

What You'll Be Doing

The Asset & Energy Management Intern primary responsibilities will include:

Solutions Architecture: 

Develop data pipelines using Python tools Write Python and SQL scripts to calculate and visualize asset and energy management metrics Develop interactive data apps dashboards and automate end-to-end data analysis and visualization Assist in and create documentation for key data sets and tools

 The Asset & Energy Management Intern will be assigned to an individual project and will present results to the project leadership at the end of the summer.

What You'll Bring Advanced Python skills Intermediate SQL skills Advanced Microsoft Office, particularly Excel skills Ability to learn and adapt to new data applications like Hex or Streamlit, and data orchestrator tools like Dagster Understanding of optimization models such as linear optimization Experience or interest in the power and renewables industry Intellectual curiosity and an interest in renewable energy.
