If so, we are on the lookout for an Intermediate Mechanical Designer to join our Greenstone Hill Offices in Johannesburg. More specifically, this position sits within our Project Delivery Group (PDG).
The core focus of this role is the production of mechanical layouts, models and drawings in accordance with project requirements. The Intermediate Mechanical Designer is also required to apply experience and specialized/advanced engineering principles at conceptual level.
Other responsibilities include:
3D equipment modeling and 3D design to meet company quality standards Performing conceptual layout work, Checking of drawings prior to release Developing design detail drawings Coordinating with other disciplines Annotation of 2D drawings extracted from the 3D model Applying the mechanical and layout design criteria throughout the evolution of the design and the use of vendor data, drawings and information to develop and verify the model.
You bring to the role:
5+ years’ experience in mechanical design Proficient modelling skills in a 3D environment Working knowledge of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to the design and systems related to the project Advanced diploma of engineering or equivalent (Mechanical preferred) Preferred knowledge of Bentley 3D design software tools, copper concentration or flotation experience.Why join us?
