**Your Opportunity**
We are seeking an intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our environmental services team in Manitoba (office in Winnipeg) or Saskatchewan (offices in Regina or Saskatoon). The position will join the Water Resource team of Stantec’s Environmental Services Business Line.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Instrumental in a variety of projects related to hydrogeologic assessments and groundwater supply development
+ Follow safe work practices and adhere to company and client guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner
+ Organize field investigations in support of hydrogeology studies, including drilling, well construction, and testing oversight, groundwater and surface water sampling, water level monitoring, hydraulic conductivity testing, etc.
+ Design and construction of groundwater monitoring wells and groundwater supply wells
+ Develop conceptual site hydrogeologic understanding
+ Analyze and interpret data including pumping test results, aquifer response, surface water and groundwater interaction
+ Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, pre-qualifications, and relationship building with clients and prospective clients
+ Assist project managers with developing project budgets, determining project scope and establishing project schedules
+ Demonstrate sound understanding and application of established practices, standards, and guidelines
+ Time split between the field and office. Field work requires the ability to work up to 12 hours per day and office work requires prolonged sitting and computer work
+ Travel as required to various field sites with overnight travel sometimes required
+ Provide supervision, training, technical direction and mentoring to more junior staff
+ Conduct peer reviews, as required, of routine work by colleagues or more junior practitioners

+ Possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to make timely decisions.
+ Dedicated to working safely within established Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines
+ Familiarity with local practice and markets as well as entry level project management skills are considered an asset
+ Experience with groundwater or surface water modeling software is an asset.
+ A valid driver’s license is required.
**Education and Experience**
+ Post-secondary educational background specializing in Geoscience or Engineering program with an emphasis on hydrogeology
+ A minimum of 4 years of hydrogeology experience
+ Existing professional registration or ability to work towards a professional registration (P.Geo. or P.Eng.)
