**Job Description**
The Intermediate Analyst, Cloud FinOps is responsible for the analysis of cloud utilization, identifying cost optimization across multiple cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud across brands. This role ensures that the organization's cloud resources are utilized efficiently, securely, and in alignment with corporate standards and best practices.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Cost Optimization: * Monitor and analyze cloud utilization, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders, and implementing strategies to control and reduce costs effectively. * Respond to inquiries from cloud teams on FinOps tooling and requests for help with understanding the cloud meta data.
+ Cloud FinOps: * Suggest strategies and implement practices to manage and optimize the financial aspects of cloud usage. * Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to ensure transparency in cloud spend and support a culture of cost awareness and accountability throughout the organization. * Develop processes and tools to enhance financial management and reporting of cloud expenditures.
+ Reporting and Analytics: * Monitor cloud usage and spend metrics to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints. * Work closely with IT Finance to track and forecast cloud spending. * Produce metrics and dashboards to illustrate utilization and cost
+ Industry and Best Practices: * Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to cloud cost optimization.
**Qualifications:**
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cloud Technology, Business, Finance and Analytics or related required. Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cloud Technology, Business, Finance and Analytics or related preferred.
+ Years & or Area of Professional experience: 3+ years Experience using cloud cost management tools and platforms such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Cost Management, and Oracle Cloud Cost Management required. 3+ years Experience with contributing data to the management of cloud resources and budgets, understanding of cloud use for team value required. 2+ years Experience with Cloud FinOps principles and practices required. 2+ years Experience with automation and scripting for cloud cost management and governance (e.g., using Python, Terraform, or similar tools) required. 2+ years Experience developing and implementing cloud standards, including governance frameworks, policies, and procedures preferred. 1+ years In the cruise and/or travel industry preferred.
+ Preferred Experience & Type: Cruise Ship operations or cruise ship admin or bunker industry
+ Critical Professional related Technical Skills, Computer Skills:

+ Implementation of Cloud FinOps principles and practices
+ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud) and their respective cost management tools and practices.

+ Ability to work independently and within a team
+ Ability to think critically, problem solve creatively, and perform root cause analysis
+ Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines
+ Analytical and detailed oriented with a strong business sense
+ Proficiency in MS Office products
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Travel: No travel
Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
