Your Key Responsibilities Conceptualizes and develops interior design from both a functional and aesthetic perspective in concert with a client’s requirements, budget, and program. Participates in the development of the program, vision and other pre-design efforts. Develops space planning, block planning, and adjacency diagrams in coordination with project program. Develops the interior design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats to express the design intent and coordinate with Project Designer. Prepare Contract Documents and schedules using REVIT Utilizes BIM technologies in the development of three-dimensional models of interiors and their components. Ensures design complies with appropriate building codes, accessibility guidelines and LEED per project type and requirements. Evaluates and selects interior systems and materials, finishes and fixtures. Coordinates project systems to ensure compatibility with the design intent and implements sustainable design principles. Develops interior design in accordance with cost parameters and ensures interior design intent is maintained through documentation and construction. Completes FFE scope tasks from design and selection through bid, coordinating with specific client and project needs. Communicate and coordinate required design, project and firm information to both internal and external parties as required with project consultants, contractors and manufacturers Assist and lead in Design presentations Coordinate consultant work Your Capabilities and Credentials Strong conceptual talents, able to develop creative concepts within fast paced projects Strong presentation skills, able to story tell and sell the concept Able to communicate complex design concepts to clients Commitment to excellence and high standard of internal and external communication and brand representation Well organized, strong communicator, and relationship builder Proven ability to engage colleagues and communicate the needs of the client to bring the right solution to project Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities, priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrated experience in a variety of sectors is desirable with experience in large complex projects an asset Expert skills with of industry software required in project delivery including REVIT, AutoCAD Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Bluebeam Engaging & collaborative nature and passionate about design Enjoy people and the opportunity to engage and inspire Education and Experience Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or other relevant course of study. 10 years of design experience. Additional Information Salary Range(s): Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Location Description: Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby) Min Pay Range: Lower Mainland $73,800 Max Pay Range: Lower Mainland $107,000 Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
