What this job involves - The Interior Designer’s primary focus is to create test fits and suggest workplace improvements in response to client needs. Provides proposals to maximize space efficiencies. Organizes all data analytics and space solutions into presentation format for client delivery. Confirm preliminary space plans and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and meet all public health, safety, and applicable code requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Serves as a workplace design point of contact for design projectDelivers client workplace guidelines; recommends new standards and looks for continued improvements to the client workplace designCreates test fits and suggests workplace improvements in response to client business needs Provides proposals to maximize space efficiencies while implementing solutions in-line with corporate real estate goalsCollaborates with Real Estate Portfolio Strategist, Project Management, Occupancy Planners, Move Managers and other CRE team members Interfaces with Client to develop new workplace options, finalize project design concepts and prepare final documents for client approvalOrganizes all data analytics and space solutions into presentation format for client deliveryConfirm preliminary space plans and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and meet all public health, safety, and applicable code requirementsEstablishes and maintains an organized file system for all projectsCommunicates with Project Management, Space Planning and Move Management for CAD needs and coordinate updates to the drawings accordingly Provides reporting on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completionDetermine selection of colors, materials, and finishes to appropriately convey the concept and meet clients requirementsEstablish selection and specification of interior architectural elements, fixtures, equipment, and millwork, including layout drawings. Coordinate with the furniture team to establish detailed product description to facilitate pricing for procurement and installation of furniture.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Bachelor’s Degree Specify preferred major: Architecture, Interior Design (NCIDQ a plus)WORK EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years of related work experience in experience in interior design, architecture, or space planning requiredSpecialized knowledge / skills: Skilled in Google Suite Tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)Skilled in AutoCAD- required Proficient or ability to learn client specific CAFM softwareProficient or ability to learn project specific design software- SketchUp | PhotoshopProficient in programming and space planning for a varying sized spacesUnderstands standards and guidelines for programming codes, procedures, documentation, and project systems organizationExcellent organization and documentation experience requiredAnticipates, identifies, quantifies, and resolves problems in a timely and positive mannerConsistently meets deadlines and completes tasks as previously definedWorks with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formExcellent oral, written, and presentation skillsExcellent client service and interpersonal relationship skillsHas the ability to learn new graphic software to compliment the presentation of new designsDemonstrates a working knowledge of various office furniture systems Possesses analytical skills and the ability to develop conclusions and recommendationsSolves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings, concepts & designExperienced in managing design projects of varied scope and complexityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to build strong relationships with internal and external partners to deliver effective services Assumes ownership of requests in order to ensure successful completionStrong attention to detail and qualityWorks with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others

143,600.00 – 175,800.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
