Course: Interface Design 2: Web Design

This course focuses on the web design prototyping process including research, wireframes, design comps, and interactive mock-ups that address a creative brief. Students learn website production, as well as Search Engine Optimization as it applies to design assets.

Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategiesEngage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trendsAssess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career pathProvide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in web design, UX/UI design, graphic design, or other related discipline.Preferred: Master’s degree and 3 or more years’ experience in the design industry is preferred.Skills in the following are required: User Experience, User Interface Design and an understanding of designing for and working with Content Management Systems such as Wordpress.The design thinking process and industry knowledge of principles of design, typography, color, brand development, and current trends are expected.Skills in the Following programs are required: Adobe Experience Design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator. Job titles that fit the criteria: Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, Web Designer.
