Summary You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ARCHITECT/COMMUNITY PLANNER in the NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND EURAFSWA of NAVAL FAC ENGR CMD EUROPE SW ASIA, Italy. Responsibilities You will develop life-cycle facilities plans to support long term investment strategies for facilities and infrastructure (e.g., buildings, utilities, roads, airfields, ranges, piers, dry docks). You will plan, coordinate, and oversee technical services, engineering support, and maintenance programs to deliver fully-capable installation facilities that confirm with the Base Master Plan. You will prepare program documents (e.g., Installation Level DD-1391's, Economic Analysis, Environmental Review, Site Approval request, Preliminary Hazard List, Detailed Cost Estimate, or similar documents) for validation of current information. You will support the execution of facilities sustainment, restoration and modernization (SRM) investments for facilities master planning and architectural design. You will implement planning criteria when managing projects (e.g., Master Plans, Special Planning Studies, Basic Facilities Requirements, Facility Planning Documents, or similar components) to meet requirements. You will research and prepare studies to submit recommendations and reports for facilities sustainment programs. The curriculum for a degree in either architecture or architectural engineering covers function, esthetics, site, structure, economics, mechanical-electrical, and other engineering problems related to the design and construction of buildings primarily (but not exclusively) intended to house human activities OR Have 1 year of experience in an architect's office or in architectural work for each year short of graduation from a program of study in architecture that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the fundamental principles and theories of professional architecture.
