INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as Counter-narcotics Intelligence Analyst at the GG-13 grade level within the Intelligence Directorate, Joint Interagency Task Force West (JIATF West) responsible for complex, all-source, predictive analysis, production, and dissemination of counter-drug, narco-terrorism, and transnational criminal organization intelligence within the U.S. Pacific Command Area of Responsibility, in support of operational forces and law enforcement (LE) agencies. Responsibilities You will support organizational goals, objectives, priorities and develops plans and programs to accomplish designated objectives through effective and efficient business practices. You will formulate and maintain multiple intelligence databases and files. You will be responsible for all-source intelligence analysis and communicating findings in both written and verbal forms as required. You will routinely develop and brief Joint Interagency Task Force West (JIATF-W) intelligence products to senior members of the DoD, U.S. and partner nation Law Enforcement Agencies, and other intelligence agencies. You will deploy for extended periods to provide partners with analytical support. You will support deployed analysts by providing reach back to DoD core competencies and resident intelligence capabilities. You will conduct analytic coordination with other intelligence analysts both within Joint Interagency Task Force West (JIATF-W) and across the Intelligence Community. Engages with peers at the local, national, and international level to address and gain concurrence on emerging real-world developments impacting the JIATF-W mission. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Conducting illicit chemicals, narcotics, and related commodities-focused intelligence analysis to include programming, planning, execution, and assessment. COLA is subject to change at any time. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment/Relocation) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
