Stellantis' IP department plays an active role in protecting these innovations and brands. One of Stellantis' IP department groups, VATD (Valorization, Agreements, Trademarks and Designs), handles IP (co-ownerships, licenses, M&A, etc.) and Technology (consortium, PhDs, NDA, etc.) agreements. This team is seeking an IP Counsel to strengthen its activity. The position is located in the Paris area (mostly Poissy, with days in Velizy), with possible remote working. The role comprises the following tasks: Provide advice and support to clients, particularly to Engineering and Business Development teams, on: - All IP contractual matters, especially when they are complex, involve sensitive technology, or are of strategic importance to the company, in collaboration with the lead lawyers on the case (JV projects, OEM development partnerships, parts purchase contract, etc.). - All agreements involving the innovation department (within Engineering) of Stellantis, namely agreements involving universities (PhDs, consortium, NDA, etc.), engineering services providers, start-ups or any kind of partner involved with Stellantis Innovation. In the context of efficiency issues: - Deploy a "templates" mechanism. - Analyze, draft, and negotiate complex contractual matters involving intellectual property issues in collaboration with patent engineers and the lawyers managing the relevant contracts, as well as patent license agreements and know-how communication. - Monitor IP in the purchasing strategy (GTC and contract templates managed by the purchasing department). - Support the IP team when dealing with: Copyright issues: AI, design protection, FOSS, etc. Industrial Property agreements: co-ownerships, transfer/change of name records in front of IP offices, etc. - Litigation & Lobby Master Degree in intellectual property law x Experience as an IP lawyer (private practice and/or in-house) x No fear to dive in engineering topics if needed x Excellent synthesis and writing skills in both English and French x Ideally, skills in Italian and/or German At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
