Integrity Engineer - Natural Gas Measurement, Regulation, and Control Assets
**This role is open to the entire NiSource footprint. Eligible candidates must reside within 50 miles of ANY NiSource location to be considered.** **Job Summary** Design and maintain the Measurement, Regulation & Control (MRC) Asset Management Plan . Provide centralized support and serve as technical advisor to those responsible for program execution. Satisfy current and changing regulatory and compliance requirements through continuous program review and revision. Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain central archive of program roles and responsibilities for program execution **Essential Functions** + Actively seeks and incorporates feedback from internal stakeholders related to performance and support. + Maintenance of service-focused working relationships with Operations partners. + Represents Pipeline Safety & Compliance as a subject matter expert in support of regulatory filings and proceedings at state and federal level. + Participates in processes to influence regulatory proceedings through industry associations and other opportunities. + Builds, promotes and enhances collaborative relationships with Public Utility Commissions, industry associations, company affiliates and other potential business partners. + Assists areas in preparation for Commission Audits. Collaborates with Standards and Compliance Leaders, peers and local operations to prepare preventative strategies to eliminate repeat offenses. + Key Stakeholder on decisions to update Company O&M policies and procedures. + Prepares and submits periodic mandated reports to external agencies. + Aligns individual objectives with department goals and projects to ensure that corporate needs and objectives are met. + Maintains awareness of decision-making impacts to capital and O&M budgets and recommend best cost alternatives to meet budgetary constraints. + Attends conventions, conferences, etc., which relate to functions performed by the department. + Provides seasoned operations consulting to Field Operations. + Actively reviewing and trending available data to asses risk + Actively seeks new data, and better ways of capturing data for risk assessment + Designs and maintains program(s) to ensure consistent and compliant execution across NiSource Operations. + Drives functional consistency, program standardization and operational excellence. + Adopts the vision and strategic direction for the programs that are the responsibility of this position. + Leads communications with State Steering Teams to properly prepare Operations personnel for program execution. + Reviews and update internal programs as instructed due to regulatory developments, compliance evaluations and continuous improvement opportunities. + Supports program execution plans by properly understanding task level responsibilities and continuously communicating with those responsible for execution. + Monitors program compliance by following-up on assignments to ensure proper execution. + Participates with Standards and Compliance Leaders and peers in the development of strategies, policies and objectives for Operations, ensuring that regulatory programs are integrated with overall Company goals and objectives. + Evaluates and makes recommendations to proposed regulatory rules impacting programs. + Provides technical support to external agency and internal program audits. + Collaborates with Senior Data Analyst to assure M&R PRA Models and data inputs are accurate. **Integrity Management Engineer 1** **Required Qualifications For Position** + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology Degree from an ABET accredited program + 1+ years of relevant job experience + Demonstrated PC skills and software knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Office) + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel + Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills + Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills + Strong organizational and planning skills + Understanding of the utility industry + Strong project management skills + Knowledge of Measurement, Regulation & Control (MRC) Asset Management Plan + Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) + Knowledge of pipeline safety regulations related to gas distribution facilities + Knowledge of industry standards related to gas distribution design and operations + Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations + Knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and standards + Knowledge of technical business applications (e.g. DIS, GIS, WMS, CIS, MAXIMO) + DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Upon Hire + Travel up to 20% **Integrity Management Engineer 2** **Required Qualifications For Position** + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology Degree from an ABET accredited program + 3 years of Operations experience (IME 1) + 5 years of Operations experience (IME2) + Demonstrated leadership experience over complex programs or projects + (IME 2:) Successfully satisfied Advancement Criteria + Strong background and understanding of pipeline safety regulations related to gas distribution or transmission facilities. + Strong background or knowledge of industry standards related to gas distribution or transmission design and operations. + Strong oral communication skills. + Strong analytical skills. + Excellent writing skills. + Strong organizational & planning skills. + Demonstrated direct interface in providing support to commission audits and inquiries. + DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Upon Hire + Travel up to 20% **Integrity Management Engineer 3** **Required Qualifications For Position** + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology Degree from an ABET accredited program + Complete training, development and advancement criteria required for the Integrity Management Engineer 3 level + Demonstrated PC skills and software knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Office) + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel + Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills + Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills + Strong organizational and planning skills + Demonstrated knowledge of the utility industry + Demonstrated knowledge of Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP) + Demonstrated knowledge of pipeline safety regulations related to gas distribution facilities + Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards related to gas distribution design and operations + Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes and regulations + Demonstrated knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and standards + Demonstrated knowledge of technical business applications (e.g. DIS, GIS, WMS, CIS, MAXIMO) + Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) + DL NUMBER -
