We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and driven professional to join us as an Integration Engineer within our Data and Analytics Team.  Our technology team is dynamic, with a strong sense of dedication to our customers. Do you like data? Do you enjoy connecting business applications? If you do, you will join our Xanterra Corporate Data and Analytics team focusing on those two things. Working from a set of requirements, you will deliver modern, reliable, and efficient integrations connecting multiple business applications and services. Your knowledge and experience will provide stability, documentation, and support for existing integrations and guidance, standardization, and improvement for future projects. Other responsibilities include assistance with our data integration solutions and occasional help writing and testing queries for reports. Most of your time will be project work implementing integrations between different systems, platforms, and technologies within the organization. The remainder of your time will be spent working with data. With the wide array of applications in use, and the varied products and services we offer, this job is ideal for the candidate who seeks variety and challenge every day. Qualifications • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with a concentration in Information Technology, Programming or Database Management. 5-7 years of IT experience delivering integration solutions. Significant work experience can substitute for formal education. Working knowledge of standard project management methodology, tools and software. • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge/experience with on-premise and cloud database platforms, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Fabric, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle (19c and forward); Solid understanding of data retrieval using APIs and various authentication methods; Working knowledge of programming tools and scripting languages such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Visual Studio code; Skilled with desktop applications used for data analysis as well as PowerShell and other command-line interfaces; Experience utilizing version control and code repositories. • Security Knowledge: Knowledge and prior experience with common security and privacy standards — PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA — and implicit integration of these security standards in all aspects of your work. • Documentation Toolset Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present information clearly. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products for authoring and collaboration is required. You will make an impact by • Implementing secure and cost-effective strategies to integrate data across enterprise-scale technology platforms. • Developing solutions, building complex software integrations through scripting and program code. • Ensuring systems are healthy, secure, cost-effective, reliable, and resilient. • Creating documentation for future managers and engineers to address issues. • Working with project objectives and scope, helping to identifying the involvement of internal and external stakeholders. • Tracking project tasks, timelines, and deliverables using Xanterra’s standard project template set. • Managing project changes to mitigate scope creep and to achieve on-time, on-budget project objectives. • Working with business analysts, project managers and stakeholders to manage expectations and to maintain productive and engaged relationships. • Reporting progress of projects to all stakeholders, including summarization of tasks, milestones, risks and decisions. • Collaborating with Quality Assurance in application testing activities, if required, to ensure achievement of project requirements. • Providing support and assistance to the Xanterra Incident Response Team as needed and requested. • Engaging in continual learning to remain abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging standards. What will set you apart? Our preferred candidate will also bring one or more of the following skills: • Completion of a Certified Integration Engineer program. • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of SQL and Python • Agile software development • Version control using Git, Azure DevOps and/or GitHub • Experience in travel, hospitality and/or cruise industries. • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including planning, organizing and adaptability. • Ability to interact with team members at all levels of the organization and with cross functional teams. COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $115,000.00.
