StreamLabs, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Chubb Group, offers Internet of Things (IoT) enabled water monitoring, leak detection and water shut-off devices and systems. StreamLabs products, which use patented and proprietary ultrasonic technology, help individuals, families and businesses predict and prevent costly property damage before it occurs. Products are sold through contractors and plumbers in construction, repair, and remodeling, ecommerce sites and insurance companies and agencies.
StreamLabs is looking for up to three Special Projects Interns to support their Inside Sales team. This role will focus on driving key initiatives related to data analysis, project management, workflow design, and risk identification/mitigation. The intern will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, gain hands-on experience in insurance operations, and contribute to strategic projects that enhance efficiency and risk management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management: Assist in planning and executing special projects, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met. Risk Identification & Mitigation: Support risk assessments, identify potential operational or compliance risks, and propose solutions to mitigate exposure. Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze insurance-related data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Workflow Design & Optimization: Document and evaluate current account management workflows; recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Process Improvement: Research industry best practices and assist in implementing innovative solutions for account management. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with account managers, underwriters, and operational teams to support key initiatives. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports, presentations, and process documentation to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.This unique co-curricular program offers students a hands-on opportunity to gain practical and agile work experience in a complex business environment.
The ideal intern candidate profile includes:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights. Interest in insurance, risk management, and process optimization. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a plus. Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.What you’ll gain:
