Job Description
We are seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team. This role involves project site visits, data collection, and analysis of control systems for design and system evaluations. You will work closely with clients, project owners/managers, contractors, and internal design team members to develop control system documentation, control schematics, panel layouts, and network diagrams. Additionally, you will write and review specifications and technical reports, and provide on-site and remote commissioning and support of customer control systems.
ResponsibilitiesPerform project site visits for data collection and control systems analysis.Work and communicate effectively with clients, project owners/managers, and contractors.Collaborate with internal design team members and project managers.Develop control system documentation including functional descriptions, I/O Lists, and Bills of Materials.Create control schematics, control panel layouts, and network diagrams.Write and review instrumentation and control system specifications.Compose technical reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.Provide on-site and remote commissioning and support of customer control systems.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program.Three or more years of experience in the electrical and/or integration & controls (I&C) consulting field.Experience with controls commissioning or troubleshooting.Understanding and application of the National Electric Code (NEC).Ability to develop control panel layout drawings, bills of materials, and wiring drawings.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and PLC programming.Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with supervisors, coworkers, and clients.Proficiency in MS Office products, specifically Word and Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociates of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field from an ABET accredited program.Ability to multi-task and address the needs of multiple projects concurrently.Willingness to travel to project sites (approximately 20% of the time).Work Environment
The work environment includes an office setting with some client site visits. A hybrid work option may be available depending on the candidate's level of experience. The position offers a flexible work schedule with options for telecommuting part of the week. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $115000.00
