Role Overview
Installation and Maintenance: Responsible for the installation and maintenance of instrument equipment in compliance with all rules and practices. Planning and Oversight: Plan, update, and oversee all activities within your areas of responsibility according to laws, regulations, standards, and procedures. Team Collaboration: Support and encourage teamwork between operations, engineering, and project groups. Control Specifications: Provide input and review control specifications and work practices. Work Management: Responsible and accountable for control systems as defined in the Work Management Manual. Work Permits: Knowledgeable in applying and following work permits through the Permit To Work System (PTWS). Maintenance Program: Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the Maintenance Program. Technical Skills Development: Continuously develop personal and team technical skills, staying up-to-date on new regulations, equipment, and methods. Technical Meetings: Attend and instruct technical meetings to keep instrument technicians informed of the latest specifications, codes, procedures, and technology. Communication: Maintain open communication on control issues with co-workers, including safe work practices, training, and materials. Work Prioritization: Support work prioritization to maximize effectiveness and complement the efforts of other work groups. Technical Support: Provide technical support to other Technicians for maintenance and troubleshooting on company's instrument systems. Management of Change Requests: Able to generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) on control-related equipment and installations, following up with installation inspections consistent with Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) Element 3. New Installations: Construct, monitor, and inspect new installations for consistency with the mission and recommend upgrades as necessary. Stand-in: Act as a stand-in for the Instrument Lead position as needed.Skills & Qualifications
Operation and Maintenance Philosophy: Familiarity with regulations applicable to the operations of oil and gas facilities. Preventative Maintenance: Experience in maintaining Instruments and Controls in processing plant or offshore production plant. Instrument Maintenance (Optional): Knowledge of instrument maintenance is an added advantage. Control Systems: Familiarity with OIMS systems, related manuals, and procedures. Work Permits: Knowledgeable in applying and following work permits through the Permit To Work System (PTWS). Technical Meetings: Able to attend and instruct technical meetings to keep instrument technicians informed of the latest specifications, codes, procedures, and technology. Management Of Change Requests: Able to generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) on control-related equipment and installations. Computing Skills: Proficient in computing skills.Education & Experience
Education: Minimum of grade 12 or equivalent high school education, preferably enhanced by related technical school courses. Experience: Experience in maintaining Instruments and Controls in processing plant or offshore production plant.Pay & Benefits
Contract Position: This is a full-time contract position from 03-MAR-2025 to 03-MAR-2026. Location: This position is located in Midland, Texas, United States.
