Credence has an immediate opening for an Instructor of Civil Engineering Business Information Systems (BUILDER) who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology Civil Engineering School (AFIT/CE) at WPAFB, OH. 

 

AFIT/CE is the Air Force's sole provider of professional continuing education courses in the area of civil engineering. With more than 70 courses and seminars, the school plans, develops, and conducts resident and distance learning courses and programs to satisfy the professional continuing educational needs of civil engineer customers from the Air Force, DoD, and other federal agencies. More than 5,500 students receive education from AFIT/CE each year.

The school currently offers Air Force courses ranging in length from two days to 12 weeks in the disciplines of technical civil engineer courses, environmental, engineering management, and housing.  It is also the leader in distance and blended learning education for the civil engineering workforce, providing the tools, skills, and abilities to manage the entire spectrum of a civil engineering expertise through various media and forums.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below Develop, maintain, and teach Civil Engineer Business Information Systems course material in residence, on site, and via Distance Learning modes. Coordinate course offerings, document courses in accordance with Air Force and AFIT policies and conduct post-offering assessments. Required to interact with various course sponsors to determine education needs in order to develop, maintain, and instruct course content appropriately. Instruct in various settings which may include traditional classroom settings and distance learning and may be required to travel to different sites to instruct or develop curriculum. Consult or advise as the subject matter expert in Air Force civil engineering business processes and business information systems. Participate in consultation efforts, and attend or participate in workshops, conferences, technical interchanges or similar venues as directed by the Government. Required to deliver courseware in civil engineering subject matter and related business information systems in both live and distance learning environments to include Temporary Duty (TDY) locations. Examples of subject matter will include:  BUILDER, PAVER, TRIRIGA.  Additional subject matter and related business information systems may be required as the career field evolves.Interact with various course sponsors to determine education needs in order to develop, maintain, and instruct course content appropriately. Education, Requirements and Qualifications Clearance: Must have and maintain eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC), including favorable completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)Have at least 15 years applied experience in Air Force or air field operations civil engineering processesDemonstrate proficiency in Air Force civil engineering processes, procedures, and techniques and Business Information Systems (BIS)Proficiency in Air Force civil engineer processes, procedures, and techniquesAbility to perform effective oral and written communication to students in a classroom, teaching environmentExperience teaching professional continuing education courses preferred Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
