Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Instructors conduct classroom and practical training at maintenance bases, line stations, supplier base stations, and other facilities including but not limited to, providing technical knowledge and practical instruction for the safe maintenance, repair and operation of aircraft and aircraft systems as related to maintenance, ground equipment, tools, and test equipment according to established procedures.

Maintenance Instructors also analyzes technical information, develops training programs to meet established objectives, writes, edits and produces materials for technical instruction and develops and administers technical examinations where appropriateInstructors provide technical leadership and guidance to various Technical Operations groupConduct format aircraft systems classroom trainingDeveloping and updating training materialsReview technical data and manual revisions to stay current with procedures

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):High School Diploma/GED or equivalentFAA A&P LicenseExtensive technical knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance operations, and applicable FAA regulationsTraining development skillsFive to ten years aircraft maintenance background with a part 121 carrierFormal aircraft maintenance instruction experienceMust be 18 years’ oldValid US driver's license (revoked, suspended or expired are not considered valid)Must pass 10-year background checkMust be willing to take a pre-placement physical abilities test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screenMust be flexible to work any shift in a 24/7 operation, including nights and weekendsCandidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the positionPosition-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearancesMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionUnited will consider applicants with criminal histories consistent with the Fair Chance Ordinance What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):College degree FCC LicenseFamiliarity with FAA-H-8083-9 Rev.A Aviation Instructors Handbook

The starting rate for this role is $65.40.
