Supplemental Information
This position is for a full-time, 12-month, unclassified, faculty position.
Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

Minimum Qualifications
+ ALA accredited Master of Library Science or MLIS.
+ Three (3) years of work experience with library instruction programs centered on electronic and Internet resources.
+ Working knowledge and familiarity with reference databases, digital resources management, and web design.
+ One (1) year of work experience with online learning environments.
+ Strong creative and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies.
+ Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Valid Driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
+ Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
+ Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
+ Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time.

Job Concepts
This position is responsible for the Library’s online resources to include, but not limited to, website, electronic resources collection, content management systems, and overall online presence. This position will provide leadership, training, and vision in planning, implementing, coordinating and managing the Library’s online/electronic resources. This position will work one evening shift per week.
Examples of Work
+ Overseeing the acquisition, licensing, and renewal of electronic resources.
+ Managing the access and authentication systems for electronic resources.
+ Collaborating with vendors and publishers to negotiate favorable licensing terms.
+ Providing technical support to students, faculty, and staff for accessing electronic resources.
+ Conducting regular assessments to evaluate the usage and effectiveness of electronic resources.
+ Staying informed about emerging trends and best practices in electronic resource management.
+ Create, maintain, and publicize the Library’s video tutorials and training documents.
+ Responsible for training library staff on new or updated technology.
+ Assist in the collection development of all library resources.
+ Create, schedule, and present effective library instruction/ orientation.
+ Act as liaison for College divisions.
+ Provides documentation of materials and resources provided by the Learning Resources Division to Academic Divisions for accreditation purposes.
+ Assists users in the discovery of Open Education Resources.
+ Liaison with Public Relations concerning website changes.
+ Assist students with Academic Advising.
+ Serves as back-up to System Administrator.
+ Assist with proctoring services in the Tutoring Center as needed.
+ Represent the Library by service on College committees.
+ Participate in Library division committees.
+ Participate in professional development and continuing education to develop and expand expertise in area of responsibility.
+ Establish and update goals, policies, and procedures.
+ Collaborate with Library administration on overall Library projects.
+ Required to work one evening.
