Instructor - Amer. Heart Assoc. Training (Per Diem)

Under direction of the Community Training Center Coordinator is responsible to present American Heart Association approved class curriculum to individuals who have registered for First Aid, or CPR course.  Document classes taught and complete other related paperwork in a timely manner. Attend renewal instructor education as needed or as approved.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE Certification as a CPR/FA Instructor through the American Heart Association is preferred. Candidate with a healthcare background is preferred. Previous experience in a Quick Response Unit preferred.  Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with a variety of people. Must be highly motivated and enthusiastic about teaching.   Ability to motivate students and provide age/developmental-specific appropriate information.  High level of interpersonal skills needed to effectively coordinate programs for a variety of audiences. A high level of interpersonal skills in order to effectively represent the hospital to outside agencies and class participants. 

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED preferred.  CPR and First Aid Instructor Certification through American Heart Association is required within two-three months of hire if not certified.  Failure to obtain required certification within the allotted time will result in immediate termination

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Valid Montana driver's license required. CPR certification required.
