Job Title:

 

Vocational Training Instructor

 

Permanent Contract, Full-time 36h

 

Location:

Model Farm Road, Co. Cork

 

 

Job Purpose:

 

The Vocational Training Instructor helps learners build their skills according to the training program and manages the daily operations of the course for Fresh Start Programme. They support learners with additional needs in exploring career and education options and making practical choices for future education or employment.

 

Minimum Education required:

Third level qualification in any area such as career advice, employment, business, education, training, social care, retail, logistics etc. A relevant qualification - Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as a minimum.

Experience

A number of years’ relevant occupational experience of working with learners in educational, guidance and/or developmental contexts. Experience in delivery of QQI level 3 + 4 certifications. Experience in developing and delivering training would be an advantage Experience in TQAS and QQI accreditation processes. Experience in sourcing work placements. Experience in working on own initiative with a professional and confident approach. Be able to support students in gaining employment and building links with local employers. Networking skills to build internal and external relationships  

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Deliver training based on set course content, covering modules for QQI Levels 3 and 4 certification. Help learners gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to achieve their goals. Meet targets for learner progress, job placements, and certification achievements.

 

Additional requirements

Requires the job holder to have:

Full Clean Driving Licence and means of transport Highly motivated self-starter Team orientated Approachable, positive can-do attitude Ability to manage and adapt to changing environment Motivation skills with energy & enthusiasm Professional and confident approach As part of our recruitment process, if applicable, candidates will be required to provide a Police certificate from the countries they have resided prior coming to Ireland.

Salary: Starting at €33263.94 per annum pro-rata, equivalent to €17.77 per hour.
