The Opportunity
The Institutional businesses are growing and represent a key component of the company’s business strategy. As a Product Manager, you will focus on product management, development, pricing, underwriting and risk analysis. This role will require combining technical investment/actuarial/product skills with influence, collaboration, and effective communication with internal business and operational teams, corporate and other MassMutual functions, as well as interaction with external clients and intermediaries.

The Stable Value Product Team provides insights into the evaluation of new opportunities and the risk characteristics of our in-force business.

As a Product Manager, you will focus on product management, development, pricing, underwriting and risk analysis. This role will require combining technical investment/actuarial/product skills with influence, collaboration, and effective communication with internal business and operational teams, corporate and other MassMutual functions, as well as interaction with external clients and intermediaries. Specific responsibilities include:
Own the review of and decision making related to plan underwriting information for new sales opportunitiesEvaluate and implement existing client stable value contract modification requests, in partnership with legal team as approvedLead and contribute to projects related to product changes and new product offerings including pricing, contracts, filing, and risk assessmentReviewing stable value investment portfoliosBuilding and maintaining pricing and risk analysis modelsDetermine new business and in-force crediting rates for stable value contractsAnalysis of risks and underwriting considerations and participating in contract negotiationsPerforming experience studies and setting assumptionsPresenting complex analyses and concepts to executive managementSoliciting and analysis of competitive dataInfluencing and contributing to ongoing business strategy and growthThe Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of related experience in the financial services industry4+ years of stable value experience1+ year of synthetic GIC product, contract and risk experienceThe Ideal Qualifications
A certified ASA or FSA or CFA with experience in ALM, investment portfolio development, investment risk analytics is desired, but not requiredKnowledgeable in aspects of stable value or Insurance Company General Account productsAbility to:Make clear and consistent decisionsDemonstrate leadership, influence and take ownership of key projectsDemonstrate initiative and a sense of urgencyEffectively manage and deliver on multiple concurrent deliverablesAnalyze and comprehend complex information, as well as convey complex materials to non-technical audiencesDisciplined approach to strategic initiatives, business projects and day-to-day activitiesComfortable dealing with both complexity and ambiguity, with ability to explore multiple solutions to a problemDetail oriented with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)#LI-ST1

Salary Range: $121,800.00-$159,800.00
