Position Overview

As an Inspector Operator at Shaw's Plant HW, you will ensure product quality and operational efficiency by monitoring production processes and conducting inspections for defects. You will operate machinery, maintain a safe work environment, and collaborate with team members to uphold Shaw's high standards of excellence.

Responsibilities: 

Read and understand work orders to ensure compliance with tufting specifications. Skillfully operate tufting machines to produce high-quality carpet products. Monitor machine during operation to identify and address any quality issues promptly. Ensure proper thread setup on the machine, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance. Replace blades, hooks, or needles as required to ensure the machine operates efficiently and safely. Perform repairs or mending on carpets as needed to uphold product integrity. Efficiently rethread needles when threads cross or break, minimizing downtime. Verify that both edges of the carpet are balanced to meet quality standards. Cut dye headers on natural carpets with precision to achieve the desired aesthetic. Assist in changing primary backing and verify the correct pick and width for production accuracy. Document all roll numbers on the work order to maintain accurate production records. Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to support overall operations. 

Qualifications:  

High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to effectively follow both written and verbal instructions. Proficient in addressing and resolving issues that involve multiple variables in standardized situations. 

$19.63/hr
