About the Job

Perform tasks related to the Installation, testing, and maintenance of corrosion control and monitoring systems to prevent company facilities from risk of internal and external corrosion.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Inspection & Corrosion
- Conducts corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection surveys and assess survey findings.
- Maintain effective performance measures for pipeline chemical treatment program.
- Coordinate with Maintenance support services the planning and inspection of protective coating, insulation, fireproofing and refractory works.
- Prepare and implement inspection program for all tanks, pipelines, structures, and pressure vessels to ensure their integrity and safety.
- Perform preventive, periodic corrosion protection programs to all company assets such as tanks, pipelines, vessels, and other equipment.
- Plan and carry out corrosion tests and special cathodic protection procedures to avoid break downs; and keeping equipment, vehicles, pipelines, etc. at minimum corrosion levels.
- Conduct comprehensive coating surveys of all plant equipment to determine actual coating conditions and recommend corrective actions in accordance with company protective coating procedure.
- Ensure that all corrosion-related activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Implement corrosion inspection procedures and techniques to ensure accurate and reliable corrosion data
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors to ensure that corrosion-resistant materials and coatings are being used in equipment fabrication
- Perform the technical aspects related to corrosion mitigation and facilities inspection are undertaken in full coordination with other technical functions within the company

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements
- Diploma /Higher Diploma in Electrical/Chemical or Metallurgy
- 5 years working experience in corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection including six month on job training and familiarization.
- PC user with good computer skills, and to be able to apply required systems.
- Good knowledge of English & Arabic.
- Valid UAE driving license
- Professional Certifications: Recommended to have API certifications.
