Are you a wizard with words or graphics? Can you craft messages that connect emotionally and tell a story, yet can also speak to impact and statistics? Can you create visually interesting reports and graphics or develop short compelling videos? Are you someone that can navigate different channels and demonstrate knowledge of how best to communicate on them? World Vision’s Innovation Team is dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation that is locally driven and transformative by empowering children and communities to co-create sustainable solutions to the problems they face. The team is working to embed field-driven innovation into World Vision’s core programming implementation, and also seeking to grow funding opportunities to increase resources available for innovation.

As a Communications Specialist, you will join the larger Strategy Realisation team, to bring creative and fresh ideas to our current work. You will contribute to the development of a strong innovation communications foundation by sharing ideas for creative content and developing materials to communicate about the progress of innovation projects. You will also work on other Communications projects that arise for the larger Strategy Realisation team.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Innovation Communications

Copywriting and content editing to develop creative content and documentation about innovation projects in World Vision.  Design and development of graphics, visually compelling reports and short videos to be featured on various channels. Research on relevant topics to collect key reports and materials, and organize and share them on staff platforms for capacity building.Support coordination of webinars to spotlight innovation projects. Capture and document key highlights, FAQs and any relevant information during the spotlight sessions that can be turned into Comms content for internal and external platforms. Liaise with the Global Centre Communications team for any media outreach across WV official media platforms (Ignite, Orange Podcast, LinkedIn etc.).Comms projects involving graphic design or video production as needed.  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

Current university studentExhibit knowledge and experience in writing.Experienced with graphic design.Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite.Comfortable working as part of a virtual and global team.Strong English communication skills Video editing experience

For positions filled in the United States, the typical salary range for this role is $25 USD to $28 USD hourly. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
