About the Role:

At Uniting, we are dedicated to fostering a culture that embraces workplace-based rehabilitation and supports safe, durable, and timely return-to-work outcomes for injured, ill, or disabled workers. As a Injury Management Advisor, you will play a crucial role in implementing our return-to-work program and making a real difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Create, maintain, and evaluate return-to-work plans for injured workers, ensuring alignment with certificates of capacity and workplace requirements. Collaborate with injured workers, insurers, treating doctors, and line managers to assess return-to-work needs and support the rehabilitation process. Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims files, RTW plans, and other related documentation, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy requirements. Assist managers in identifying suitable duties that align with the capabilities of injured workers, promoting a safe and effective return to work. Conduct case conferences with relevant stakeholders to address barriers to the return-to-work process and develop appropriate solutions. Educate and inform stakeholders about the benefits of workplace-based rehabilitation, fostering a culture that supports safe and timely return-to-work outcomes. Engage with treatment providers to ensure alignment with rehabilitation goals, monitoring and reviewing treatment plans to support recovery. Support the continuous improvement of Uniting's Health, Safety, and Wellbeing management system, adhering to Work Health Safety (WHS) responsibilities and quality management processes.

Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in a health discipline or equivalent experience preferred. WorkCover RTW Coordination Certification.

Experience:

At least 2 years’ experience in RTW coordination and/or claims management. Experience with complex claims, including psychological claims.
