Infrastructure Security Engineer II

Position Purpose: Applies cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation on key infrastructure systems. Analyzes, streamlines, and automates operational tasks and processes to protect the organization's infrastructure components against adversaries. Builds infrastructure security systems and solutions. Defines infrastructure security standards as well as implements and maintains technologies to measure conformance against infrastructure security standards.Designs and implement cybersecurity rules for infrastructure components such as servers, network, storage, hypervisor, etc. Implements security measures to safeguard information systems assets against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure to protect our business interests Designs and implement security controls, and develop procedures providing the foundation for the security of systems Develops, maintains and enforce security policies and procedures across infrastructure components and automates routine operational infrastructure security tasks and processes Provides management with status reports regarding effectiveness of data security and information security compliance Identifies potential infrastructure security threats/risks and take necessary steps to mitigate them Configures and troubleshoot infrastructure security related issues like vulnerability management, malware attacks, web application attacks etc. Monitors security information and event management (SIEM) system for anomalies and take appropriate action when necessary Researches, recommend and introduce security technologies for protection of information system assets by collaborating with development teams and other subject matter experts Supports in infrastructure security testing, produce testing documentation, completion reports in design, implementation, and configuration of infrastructure security architecture, software, and controlsPerforms other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 2 – 4 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:
One or more of the following skills are desired.Experience with Other: Baseline security requirements and platform hardening principlesKnowledge of Other: Encryption and tunneling protocols, networking technologies, application protocolsKnowledge of Other: Use of infrastructure security risk identification and prioritization tools such as WizExperience with Other: Enterprise IT security risk assessments and related frameworks e.g., International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27000 series, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 Series, IT General Controls, etc.
Soft Skills:
Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialtyIntermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsIntermediate - Ability to work independently
License/Certification:
CompTIA Security+ Certification preferred

Pay Range: $73,800.00 - $132,700.00 per year
