As Senior Principal Platform Architect you will:

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tThe Software Infrastructure group is seeking a Senior Principal Platform Architect to ensure the successful delivery of a Modernized Private Cloud Infrastructure for one of our premier programs.\r\n\tAs the Senior Principal Platform Architect, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team developing, integrating, and deploying a modernized platform infrastructure for a system that is currently tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure.\r\n\tThe role's core responsibility revolves around architecting a platform that is consistent, scalable, efficient, and reduces overall program deployment times.\r\n\tYou will be on a team that is responsible for development and operational environments consisting of a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware.\r\n\tThese environments provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset.\r\n\tCollaborate cross-functionally, building and refining solutions that align with tech standards, timelines, and budgets.\r\n\tInvestigate and present technology solutions to improve performance.\r\n\tDesign and implement automation and orchestration solutions.\r\n\tIdentify gaps and opportunities for improvement of existing solutions.\r\n\tCoordinate with the team to Incorporate Cyber based solutions to the product.\r\n\tCollaborate across teams to define requirements and dependencies.\r\n\tYou will coordinate needs and priorities specific to the implementations with Technical and Program and IPT Management.\r\n\tYou will ensure infrastructure implementations are in accordance with the scope of the contract requirements.\r\n\tYou will ensure compliance with the program’s discrepancy / problem reporting and review process.\r\n\tYou will use Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and processes to design and develop solutions.\r\n\tYou will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to architect, develop and implement modern platform solutions.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a 12 Month full time Contract opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI w/Poly Required to Start

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Technical Skills/Experience Required:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tExperience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems.\r\n\tExperience with containerization using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker.\r\n\tAble to break down complex ideas into easy-to-understand tasking.\r\n\tExperience with implementing an on-prem cloud in VMware.\r\n\tExperience working in a technical environment interfacing with systems, or software engineering disciplines.\r\n\tStrong interpersonal skills: Possess the ability to communicate technical and project information clearly and effectively to peers, management, and external associates.\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tExperience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts.\r\n\tExperience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab).\r\n\tExperience with automation frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible.\r\n\tKnowledge of secure coding practices such as OWASP, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.\r\n\tExperience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify, Anchore).\r\n\tMulti-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization.\r\n\tExperience developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps framework.\r\n\tBackground in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration.\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Certification Required: Current CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90 days.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Education Requirements:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tTypically requires bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and ten (10+) years of systems engineering experience.\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $100.00 - $116.00 per hour

\r\n\r\n
