Infrastructure Engineer
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer at our Delray Beach, Florida location. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and supporting our technology infrastructure, including hardware and software components, network connections, and data backups. Responsibilities: • Coordinating activities related to desktop and notebook computers and their network connections. • Designing, setting up, and installing VPNs, switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless networks. • Collaborating with IT staff in the design, layout, and installation of hardware and software for new networks and modifications to existing ones. • Ensuring the accuracy of documentation including procedures, troubleshooting guides, and manuals. • Monitoring systems and networks, running diagnostics, and anticipating potential hardware problems. • Evaluating software, testing new software, upgrading equipment, and providing training to users. • Maintaining Configuration Management of all infrastructure equipment, including servers, storage, switches, connections, routers, firewalls. • Implementing Load Balancing of all infrastructure equipment. • Managing Mobile Device and Wireless Access. • Overseeing Virtual Desktop and Server Infrastructure. • Ensuring the security of the network infrastructure, including user profiles, servers, PCs and laptops, switches, cables, and other connected peripherals. • Participating in the team's on-call support rotation and mentoring/cross-training team members on existing and new/emerging technologies. Requirements • The applicant must have a minimum of 7 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role. • Proficiency in VMware is a vital requirement for this position. • Experience with Cisco Unified Computing System is necessary. • The candidate should have skills in using Veeam Backup. • Knowledge and experience in handling Fortinet Firewalls is required. • The applicant must have experience with Azure Active Directory. • Experience with NetApp is a crucial requirement. • The candidate should have a strong background in Disaster Recovery. • Proficiency in O 365 is required. • The applicant should have experience working with Hyper-V. • Experience with Cisco Technologies is necessary for this role. • Strong networking skills are essential. • The candidate must have a solid understanding of the Active Directory.
